Cancellation and refunds

Last updated 2 September 2026

Cancel any time. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for. Nothing is taken back and nothing is clawed back.

Within 24 hours of your first subscription, we refund the bandwidth you have not used. Your dashboard shows the exact figure before you ask for it.

Cancelling

Cancel from your dashboard in one click. Your subscription is marked to end at the end of the current billing period, and until then everything keeps working exactly as it did. If you change your mind before that date, one more click reinstates it and the next renewal proceeds as normal.

We do not ask why, we do not make you email anyone, and we do not put the button behind a retention flow.

Refunds

A refund is available when all three of these are true:

How much

We refund the share of your bandwidth allowance you have not used:

refund = what you paid × (1 − gigabytes used ÷ gigabytes included)

Stream nothing and you get everything back. Use half your allowance and you get half back. Use all of it and there is nothing to refund, because we have already paid for it.

Your dashboard shows the figure, the gigabytes used, and the hours streamed, before you decide. The number you see is the number that is refunded — it is calculated on our servers, not in your browser.

Refunds are returned to the card that paid, and typically take five to ten business days to appear, depending on your bank. Taking a refund ends your plan immediately, because the period it covered has been paid back.

After 24 hours

We do not refund after 24 hours, and we do not prorate a part-used month.

The reason is plain: our only real cost is bandwidth, and it is metered by the gigabyte on a dedicated server. When you stream, that money is spent and we cannot get it back. We are a small operation without investor money to absorb it. Cancelling always works, and you always keep what you have paid for until the period ends.

Your statutory rights

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because RV-StreamRelay begins immediately — your relay is live and your bandwidth available the moment you subscribe — you are asked at checkout to request that immediate start and to acknowledge that it replaces the statutory cancellation period. That acknowledgement is recorded with your payment.

Nothing here removes a right you have by law where it cannot be waived.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, your plan is not cancelled. Streaming pauses, your destinations and settings are kept, and your dashboard offers you a link to update your card. Once the payment clears, everything resumes. You can also cancel at that point if you would rather stop.

If something went wrong on our side

The policy above is the standard case. If the relay failed and cost you a stream, tell us what happened. We would rather fix it than argue about a clause.

How to reach us

Email roguevikings@outlook.com. That address is monitored, and it is the right one for billing, refunds, privacy requests and anything that has gone wrong.

The Rogue Vikings Discord is usually faster for a question, and it is where the people who run the relay are. Use email for anything you want a record of.
